Privacy Policy — Teamdex

What we collect

• Account details: name and email, through Google, Apple or direct sign-up. A password is stored only as a one-way hash.
• Profile details you choose to add: photo, bio, birth year, skill level, sports, and the place name you enter.
• Coaches only: an optional phone (WhatsApp) number and city shown on the coach profile.
• Photos you pick from your camera or gallery for your profile or posts.
• Location, only while you use a feature that needs it: local weather, choosing a game venue, and nearby games. We do not collect location in the background.
• App activity: games you create or join, RSVPs, team membership, scores and rank, posts, and game chat messages.
• Reports and blocks: when you report a post, a chat message or a player, we keep what was reported, your reason, an optional note, and who reported it; when you block a player, we keep that block. Reports are kept for 12 months after they are reviewed, or after they are filed if nobody reviewed them, and are then deleted.
• Push notification token and Firebase installation ID, so we can deliver notifications you allow.

How we use it

To run the app: sign-in, showing games and players, weather for play, team chat, notifications and the leaderboard. We do not sell personal data and we do not use it for advertising. The app has no ads and no analytics or crash-reporting SDK.

Our website

teamdex.us is a landing page with links to the app stores, today's conditions for one city, and these legal pages. You sign in there only to accept a team invite; it also has pages to reset your password and to request account deletion. The website has no workout, diet or media features.

Who else receives data

• Firebase and Google Sign-In (Google) for authentication and push notifications; Sign in with Apple on iOS.
• Weather providers: Open-Meteo, MET Norway, 7Timer and wttr.in. Your phone sends them the coordinates of the place you are viewing, and they see your IP address.
• OpenStreetMap Nominatim, for place search and for turning coordinates into a place name. It receives the text you search for or the coordinates.
• Hosting providers that run our servers and website.
• Resend, which delivers our email: password reset messages, and the message we receive at our support address when a report is filed, which can include an excerpt of the reported content.

These services follow their own privacy policies. Other Teamdex users see what you put on your profile, in games, teams, posts and chat. Users under 16 have a limited public profile: last name and photo are hidden.

Your choices and deletion

• Location, camera and notification permissions are optional and can be turned off in your phone settings.
• Delete your account any time in the app under Settings, or see how to request deletion.
• On deletion we remove your name, email, photo, bio, place, birth year, sports, sign-in links, push tokens, location and score data, and coach contact details, and uploaded profile photos. Games, chat messages and team rosters that other users rely on stay, with no link to your name. Blocks you made or that involve you are removed. Reports you filed or that concern you are kept so we can deal with abuse. Your account details are deleted, so they no longer identify you.

Children

Teamdex is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
